“ This is the most legit shengjianbao I've had in the bay area. The small meat wonton soup was just ok. I walked in at around 2pm to place a takeout order and woke up the chef from his afternoon nap (sorry) but they were super nice and still took my order. Can't speak to ambiance since I went as such a weird time but I will definitely be ordering the shengjianbao and congyoumian next time I go! ”

“ I haven't been back here for a long time! Always love their Pan Fried Pork Buns. They may not be the best looking buns, but don't judge a book by its cover. Each bun has the perfect amount of soup and meat that goes well with its crunchy bottom. Service is fast. The only thing that needs work is the ambiance. They badly need a renovation. They can easily fit more people if they just rearrange their stuff. ”

“ 2 must orders: the best sheng jian bao (pan fried soup buns) and scallion oil pork noodles. everything else is secondary and honestly not that good - i've tried the soup noodles and it was a hard pass. the cucumber jellyfish salad is a nice pairing to offset greasiness but nothing crazy. this place feels like a bay area chinese person secret. i was surprised to see so many reviews for this place because it feels like the ultimate hole in the wall spot - the tables are always a little sticky, the dining ware needs to be wiped down, there's literally only like 6 tables total in the restaurant. but the food is so fucking good!! and the owner is a nice chatty lady. +1 for that too. ”

Even lukewarm, these were filled with so much soup and meat! I think they would be great with some scallions sprinkled on top for some freshness. I got 24 pork buns for $44. Good price for the amount of food! ”
